 I wonder what he shot - the usual tourist shot of one of the buildings, or if he was taking street shots too.

Thanks a lot for the comment and fav!

I sometimes wonder what the hell tourists are shooting  Or why they practically line up to take turns having their pictures taken outside one Temple Bar pub... strange lot! :P

Always welcome! =D

I do the tourist thing too, even though I'm not quite sure why. But I usually just want the sights, not with myself in the picture. That's something I have done...hm...I think exactly once.

Tourists are fun to watch and capture. I have quite a few pictures of tourists having their photo taken. :D There's one of a Japanese woman who was having her photo taken in front of demonstrators in Vienna. :p

I was ready to behead some tourists a couple of weeks ago! I was wandering around Trinity College campus and noticed a couple of things out of place. Too many cars being allowed near the main quad and a few very well dressed people wandering around :sherlock: A wedding!!! I changed my lens, made out I was fascinated by buildings I've photographed a thousand times and waited for the bride to arrive.
She got out of a taxi, her father carrying her bouquet. A perfect street picture once the car was out of the way, as I aimed a group of tourists almost ran into shot, I could have kicked them! :icontantrumplz:

Don't get me started!
Ooops, too late. :D I was ready to behead about half a dozen people on Saturday, not really tourists but other visitors at the medieval festival we went to. I stopped counting how many shots they ruined. I don't get it how someone can be so blind or inconsiderate. I was standing there, camera ready to shoot, and this woman walks straight towards me, facing me, and stops right in front of me, and keeps standing there. Half an hour later, same story all over again. I've finally found a position where I can shoot from between the heads of the people in front of me, but then this silly cow pushes to the front of all the others and blocks my view. And she had a camera herself, so she should know how annoying this is. Made it impossible for me to get the shots of the fire-eater that I wanted. Well, not really impossible, I could have pushed myself forward too but didn't. Damn my manners. :sarcasm:
That's one of the things I hate about shooting street or public events, there's always some idiot who messes it up. That's one of the reasons why I find bugs or nature in general much more relaxing and less frustrating.

Maybe if you cough and sneeze and wonder loudly what was it you picked up on your recent trip to Mexico.... :sneeze:

I could give it a try, but the swine flu has completely disappeared from the news here, now it's mostly about "evil Sikhs that cause massacres in temples" :sarcasm: but I doubt they'll run if I dress up with a turban, they'll probably just attack me.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
Reflection shots are fun, you never quite know how they are going to turn out and the results are often quite surreal.

I love the two shoplifters in the foreground!!
...............................................

Strange what digital cameras have done to the social scene !! Everyone with arms outstretched holding silver boxes or heads staring into little silver boxes !! :giggle:

Well spotted

I think there are still more people staring onto cell phones than digital cameras! :)

Because it's almost 9 and I need food & shower (one after the other, not simultaneously, remember? :p) and because I was out on the street most of yesterday and a couple of hours today anyway? :giggle: I even got sunburnt a bit.

Not sure if they were Austrian but there've been a few cases in the Austrian mountains. It can have terrible consequence if you don't pay attention, maybe even while walking backwards...
